School air conditioning installation and maintenance
Located in the heart of the village, Ashover is a friendly school, offering a safe and welcoming yet exciting, vibrant and enjoyable educational experience for children aged between 3 and 11 years.
The challenge
Built around 1900, our initial challenge was the installation of air conditioning throughout the school and, more recently, to upgrade all classrooms with LED lighting. Due to the age of the building, any installation work that is carried out comes with added complications as it wasn’t constructed to accommodate additional pipework or electrical cables.
As with all air conditioning equipment with a combined rated cooling output greater than 12kW there is a requirement to have an energy assessment carried out every five years, with the aim to improve efficiency and reduce the electricity consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions of the equipment.
